Serial Com Port Monitor was designed for RS232/422/485 COM ports monitoring. It monitors, displays, logs and analyzes all serial port activity in a system and solves problems of debugging computer connection with peripheral devices using COM port.
This is the first software of its kind which includes both local and network virtual COM port functions. It can share your real COM ports or create virtual COM ports and connect them with a virtual null-modem cable locally or through the network.
Redirect all data sent from one serial port to any other serial port with Advanced COM Port Redirector. All data sent to redirected COM port would be received by redirection port and vice versa. It works under almost all modern Windows OS versions.
COM Port Splitter enables you to add virtual and physical COM-ports to the configuration in real time, to create unlimited virtual serial ports, to deliver high speed data exchange with virtual serial ports and to configure ports bundles.

COM Port Toolkit
$29 - Michael Golikov
COM Port Toolkit is an integrated serial communications testing toolkit. It sends user's data to and receives one from a device and records all transfers to a log. You can test equipments serial communications protocol by hand: feed it input, check the output.
You can write or use a script written by other developers to automate some specific tasks: CRC calculations, special transfer rules, outgoing data modifications and etc. COM Port Toolkit's scripting language is an enhanced, C-like programming language, including if, else, for, do and while constructs and the usage of user defined functions. It combines the power and flexibility of conventional programming languages with functions specifically developed for use with the COM Port Toolkit software. Some scripts you can find in an application's examples directory.
COM Port Toolkit can capture serial communications between the device and the software by using special serial port driver. So COM Port Toolkit acts as a software protocol analyzer in this mode.
COM Port Toolkit works on Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000/XP operating systems.

Serial Port Splitter allows to share dataflow of one COM port between several applications or vice versa to join dataflow of several COM port devices to one application. Such program universality is achieved by means of virtual serial ports technologies. Moreover Serial Port Splitter allows to setup READ/WRITE or READ ONLY mode for splitted ports and READ/WRITE or WRITE ONLY mode for joined serial ports.
Program features:
- One COM port can be splitted up to 254 virtual ports
- One COM port can be opened by several applications at the same time
- Several COM ports can be joined to one virtual port
- READ/WRITE or READ ONLY mode mode for splitted serial ports
- READ/WRITE or WRITE ONLY mode mode for joined serial ports
- Once created virtual serial ports are operable at each system startup
- Compatibility with Hyper-Threading Technology
- Compatibility with PnP and WMI technologies
- Compatibility with VMware software
- Hot program install - no system reboot is required
- User friendly interface

Look RS232
$49 - fCoder Group
Look RS232 is a tool for debugging computer connection with peripheral devices using COM port, such as modem, mini-ATS, projector etc. Its easy to use interface guarantees an easy work with Com-port. Look RS232 can send data through COM port, receive data from an outer device through COM port, it has port indication as well. Look RS-232 supports connection at the standard speed of 110…115200 kbit/s, it supports commands of COM port program control. Look RS-232 supports data input in ASCII, BIN, HEX, OCT formats, keeps log of the sent and received data and commands in ASCII, BIN, HEX, OCT formats, it has an option of time link (relating to COM port activation). Look RS-232 works with system initiated COM ports regardless of whether they are installed on motherboard or on supplementary in/output boards, e.g. VS-Com (Roadrunner) PCI-800H 8-port PCI.

Serial Port Redirector
$99.95 - FabulaTech, Inc.
Serial Port Redirector is used to connect a serial application to a remote TCP socket. This allows you to utilize modern hardware COM servers without changing your software or exchange data between a TCP/IP application and an old-fashioned program that can only connect to a serial port.
Serial Port Redirector creates a two-way bridge between a serial application and a specific TCP port at a specified IP address. This is done by creating virtual COM ports. When a serial application connects to one of these COM ports, a connection is established to a specified host and all the data from the COM port gets redirected via the Internet or a Local Area Network. The program receives data from network and redirects them to virtual COM port. It works transparently for serial apps. They use virtual COM ports as if they were connected directly to your hardware devices. With Serial Port Redirector, you can easily control remote hardware COM servers via a TCP/IP network from your serial application designed to work with locally connected devices only. Now you can access a router console, work with sales terminals and barcode scanners and more.
Modern electronic instruments may not support COM ports. They are plugged into USB or network adapters and can only send/receive data via TCP/IP networks. If you wish to use your old serial applications to analyze the data or control the devices, you will need a tool like Serial Port Redirector. Serial Port Redirector is compatible with the vast majority of hardware COM servers. Moreover, it can actually enhance their functionality. Normally, hardware COM servers are equipped with some basic software applications. For example, they are usually supplied with a terminal program that uses the Telnet protocol. While this works OK in a simple interactive mode, raw data transfers get scrambled due to an incomplete protocol implementation. Serial Port Redirector solves this problem.

Network Serial Port Kit
$199.95 - FabulaTech, Inc.
Network Serial Port Kit allows you to connect any serial port devices over the TCP/IP network or Internet. Creation of local virtual serial ports pairs are available as well.
Program creates up to 254 virtual serial ports at a time. Physical COM ports located on remote computer can be connected to host computer over the network as well. You can connect data collection serial devices: bar code scanners, modems, sensors, meters, gages, RF equipment, telephone PBX systems, laboratory or industrial instruments, and so on - to the serial ports of your computer to deliver that data anywhere over any TCP/IP based network.
For example you can convert usual PC to "Serial Port Server" so then you can connect any serial device directly to a TCP/IP network and communicate with that device from any other PC in the same network or across the Internet. This allows you to use existing Windows based serial communications software to send and receive data to remote serial device across a network.

Advanced Serial Port Monitor
$65 - AGG Software
Today we are all living in a completely new era. Nowadays, utilizing digital technologies is as natural as breathing and eating. This is why so many businesses turn towards digital products and solutions. The number of devices that can be connected to a home or office PC grows exponentially. The PC becomes a control center of various pieces of hardware: from MP3-players to industrial machinery.
One of the industry-standard device communications protocols is the RS232/RS485/RS422 serial interface, or COM port, for short. Creating devices that communicate with PCs via a serial port is very cost-effective, not to mention the amazing hardware compatibility. Most computers are equipped with at least one free serial port. However, developing hardware and software solutions that are built around COM port communications protocols is a challenging task without proper tools.
But, now there is: Advanced Serial Port Monitor by AGGsoftware, the unique serial port monitoring and data handling solution that allows developers to focus on their projects instead of battling the hardware.
Advanced Serial Port Monitor can operate in manual, automatic and spy modes providing developers with unique opportunity to monitor all data received from a device connected to COM port as well as send data directly to a serial port either manually or automatically on given time intervals. The application supports full duplex mode, which means you can use it anytime without having to close or restart programs already communicating with a device via a serial port.
Advanced Serial Port Monitor supports all possible baud rates, data bits number, stop bits number, parity and flow control types. Besides flexible configuration, the software supports plug-ins used to emulate various devices and expand software functionality. The application comes with a comprehensive help system and intuitive interface making it easy to start using it right after installation. So, why waste time? Download it now!
