Palm Dictate is a professional voice recorder for Palm OS. You dictate directly on your Palm PC using the buttons on the unit. When done, tap send and the dictation will be compressed, encrypted and sent to your typist by email automatically.

The software is designed to have all the features you need as easy to use as possible and reliable for day-to-day operation. If you install Palm Dictate you will quickly find it will replace your old dictaphone and, by using the internet to send dictations, will improve the turnaround on typing.

Features

~ Record and playback dictation using the buttons on the Palm PC. For ease of use, operation is designed to closely mimic that of old style dictation recorders. For example, you record by holding down the record button on the side of your Palm PC. Release the button to stop. To continue from where you were press it down again. You can also playback, rewind, insert or overwrite as required using the keys on the front.
~ Editing, inserting and overwriting. You can select between record overwrite, record insert and record end modes.
~ Optional voice activated recording. When selected Palm Dictate only records while you are speaking.
~ Automatic compression of audio files to reduce upload times and storage requirements.
~ Encryption of recordings prior to transmission to comply with patient or client confidentiality requirements.
~ Sends recording in compressed wave (wav) or dictation (dct) file formats.

Express Dictate Dictation Recorder

Express Dictate is voice recorder software that works like a dictaphone and a dock station for a portable recorder. You dictate using your computer or a portable dictaphone or notetaker and send your recordings to your typist or assistant by email, FTP or over your computer network. Express Dictate can dramatically improve the turn around time for work and, most importantly, lets you work from wherever you want.

~ Record to wav, mp3 or dct formats (only dct supports encryption, sender information and notes).
~ Automatic non destructive record editing with multiple record modes including record-insert, record-overwrite and record-at-end.
~ Voice activated recording so long silences in dictation are not recorded.
~ Assign priority to individual dictations.
~ Ability to prompt for patient or file data before recording starts and supports the VIS Laser Barcode Scanner.

~ Supports recording encryption if you are required to secure patient or client data for transmission over the internet (HIPAA compliant).
~ Ability to 'dock' normal analog and digital handheld dictation recorders so even if you don't record with Express Dictate you can still use it to transmit recordings to your typist via email.
~ Attach additional files to the recordings or type in notes for your typist or for the record.
~ Ability to recover sent dictations.
~ View "Sent Work Progress" and backup sent dictations to hard drive or CD.
~ Audio compression to reduce file and transmission size. Codecs supported include PCM, wav, mp3, gsm and many more.
~ Can be controlled by system-wide hot keys (so you can record while working in other screens).

FastDictionary

The FastDictionary 2007 is a very special electronic dictionary. FastDictionary lets the user to search words while using other applications - without having to leave the current window. This feature makes FastDictionary a great tool for users to surf the Internet or just reading texts in a word processor.
