Optimize resource use to maximize profit.

Production Mix Model Excel
$20 - Bizpep

This model calculates the Product or Service Mix that maximizes overall profit considering available resources. It will identify the mix (number) of each Production Item to produce and any remaining resource. Up to six unique Production Items can be handled with ten specific resource inputs. Production Items can be considered as the output of any process including manufactured items and the provision of services. Resources are anything that is needed to produce or provide the Production Item. This may include materials, labor, machine time, floor space, transportation services etc. The model applies Linear Programming to identify the optimum result. It considers the resource demand, profit contribution and any minimum or maximum production requirements for each Production Item. By using the Solver Add-in included with Microsoft Excel the optimum solution is identified and can then be manually adjusted to test alternative scenarios. Operation is fully automated with tabular inputs and outputs. No knowledge of Linear Programming or Excel is required for use.

Optimal cut for 1D pieces with angles.

Real Cut 1D
$35 - Optimal Programs

Real Cut 1D is a computer program used for obtaining optimal cutting designs of one dimensional pieces which may have angles different of 90 degrees at both extremities.  Real Cut 1D can be used for cutting linear pieces such as bars, pipes, tubes, steel bars, etc.

Features:

Pieces to be cut can have angles different of 90 degrees at their extremities. A lot of material can be saved by properly matching 2 pieces having sharp extremities. For instance, if you match 2 pieces having 45 degrees at their extremities you will save as much as the height of the pieces.
Compute the cutting order which is very important if the extremities have angles different of 90 degree. If all angles have 90 degrees the cutting order is not important.
Independent measurement metric.
Adjustable cutting blade thickness.
Adjustable optimization level.
Text mode display of the obtained results.
Printing the obtained layouts.
Printing the REPOSITORY and the DEMAND of the customer.
Statistics related to the current cut.
Automatically computing of the DEMAND price.
Very fast running time (Solutions are obtained within seconds).
Automatically updating the REPOSITORY.
Data can be exported/imported into/from Excel, Word, HTML and XML files.
Interface in multiple languages: English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Romanian, Portuguese, Swedish and Dutch.

Cut1DX is an automation component for 1D cut.

Cut 1D X
$35 - Optimal Programs

Cut 1D X is an Automation Component used for obtaining optimal cutting designs of one dimensional pieces which may have angles different of 90 degrees at their extremities. Cut 1D X can be used for cutting linear pieces such as bars, pipes, tubes, steel bars, or any other material used by industrial applications. Cut 1D X can be used within any programming enviroment such as Delphi, C++Builder, Visual Basic, Visual C++ etc

Features:

Pieces to be cut can have angles different of 90 degrees at their extremities. A lot of material can be saved by properly matching 2 pieces having sharp extremities. For instance, if you match 2 pieces having 45 degrees at their extremities you will save as much as the height of the pieces.
Automatically compute the number of maximal repetitions for the current layout.
Compute the cutting order which is very important if the extremities have angles different of 90 degree. If all angles have 90 degrees the cutting order is not important.
Very fast algorithm (Solutions are obtained in seconds).
Compute the waste for the current piece.
Independent measurement metric.
Adjustable cutting blade thickness.
Adjustable optimization level.
Can be embedded within any language that supports automation (VB, Delphi, C++Builder, VC++, etc) and dynamic link library (dll).

Profesional software for cutting optimization

Cutting Optimization pro
$59 - Optimal Programs

Cutting Optimization Pro is a computer program used for obtaining optimal cutting layouts for one (1D) and two (2D) dimensional pieces. The software also lets you to define and handle complex products, such as table, desk, cupboard, locker, book shelf ...

Cutting Optimization Pro can be used for cutting rectangular sheets made of glass, wood, woodworking, metal, furniture, or any other material used by industrial applications.

Cutting Optimization Pro can also be used for cutting linear pieces such as bars, pipes, tubes, steel bars, metal profiles, extrusions, tubes, lineal wood boards, etc and other linear materials.

1D and 2D optimization in the same program - you may use the program for both 2D and 1D optimization.

Guillotine optimization - The cuttings are performed from one side to the other of the material. This feature is very useful for glass, wood, thermopan, ...

Guillotine optimization in 2 stages - first stage only horizontal (or vertical) cuttings are permited and secondly only the other types of cuttings are permited.

Non-guillotine (nested) optimization - The cutting machine can follow the shape of the material. In this case you need to have a complex machine based on laser or flame blade.
Generates optimal cutting patterns.

Any number of pieces in the REPOSITORY and DEMAND.

Virtually any size.

Any measurement metric.

Adjustable cutting blade thickness.

Adjustable optimization level.

Edge banding handling.

Computes / Prints the total cutting length.

Possibility to define complex products such as table, desk, cupboard, locker, book shelf ...

Possibility to define types of materials (glass, wood, band).

Automatic tool for computing the size of the pieces based on the external sizes of the product.

Statistics related to the current cut / layout - in Excel tables.

Interface in multiple languages: Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Romanian, Spanish and Swedish

Nonlinear regression analysis - CurveFitter

Regression Analysis - CurveFitter
$15 - Institute of Mathematics and Statistics

CurveFitter program performs statistical regression analysis to estimate the values of parameters for linear, multivariate, polynomial, exponential and nonlinear functions. The regression analysis determines the values of the parameters that cause the function to best fit the observed data that you provide. This process is also called curve fitting.

Fit thousands of data into your equations in seconds:
Curvefitter gives scientists, researchers and engineers the power to find the ideal model for even the most complex data, including equations that might never have been considered. You can build equation set which can include a wide array of linear and nonlinear models for any application. Its state-of-the-art data fitting includes the following capabilities:

*Any user-defined equations of up to nine parameters and eight variables.
*Linear equations.
*Nonlinear exponential, logarithmic and power equations.
*A 38-digit precision math emulator for properly fitting high order polynomials and rationals.

Graphically Review Curve Fit Results:
Once your data have been fit, Curvefitter automatically sorts and plots the fitted equations by the statistical criteria of Standard Error. A residual graph as well as parameter output is generated for the selected fitted equation within the Review Curve Fit window.

With All This Power, it is Still Easy to Use:
Curvefitter takes full advantage of the Windows user interface to simplify every aspect of operation -- from data import to output of results. Import data from many popular file formats including Excel, Lotus and ASCII. Once your data are in the editor, create a custom equation set and start the automatic fitting process with a single mouse click. Curvefitter is highly intuitive, easy-to-use and remarkably simple to learn.
