ASL Logbook

ASL Logbook is a database program designed and developed for organizing and enhancing play of the Advanced Squad Leader game system. As every Grognard knows, the ASL game system can be a bit complex and overwhelming at times. 'The PS ASL Logbook' does not intrude onto the rules or pretend to simplify matters. XCPlan is a tool to automatically generate the old pen & paper style flight logs. It's an invaluable tool to student pilots, as it helps you generate the flight logs without having to do all of the math. It's not a graphical-type planner, but is a tool designed to help automate the practice of filling out the manual-style logs. You can also generate and print out blank flight log pages on your printer. The way it works is you enter a series of waypoints, and the heading, distances, and estimated speed between them. Then you enter the winds, and it'll automatically compute the correct heading for you to fly, and print out your cross country flight log. Lots of people use the new graphical flight planning software, but those programs do so much for you that you can really forget the basics. If you're a student pilot, and your instructor is making you manually fill out cross country flight logs (as they should -- it's an important part of learning), then you can use XCPlan to verify your work and make sure you did the calculations correctly. I wrote this program and used it extensively in the first year after I received my private pilots license. This program is shareware with no disabled features or expiration. You can evaluate it for an unlimited period of time. It is designed for Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP.
