The program is used for debugging microprocessor systems or hardware-program complexes through interface RS-232C. The Program allows not only to test the instrument, but also emulate the behaviour of the instrument through interface RS-232C
To monitor (bi-directional) Serial communication RS-232 between two devices without physical cable. This software allows you to view, log, test and analyse the activity of the serial RS-232 port. To monitor the serial protocol of two different device
Receive, parse, filter and export data from RS-232-enabled devices, plugged locally or into a remote serial port. Parse data on-the-fly, apply filters, load the results into databases and redirect output from a remote port via TCP/IP networks.
The program emulates one or couples of RS-232 serial ports connected via virtual null-modem cable. It is possible to create the unlimited couples of virtual serial ports on a single PC and connect them in any sequence using virtual null-modem cable.

Look RS232
$49 - fCoder Group
Look RS232 is a tool for debugging computer connection with peripheral devices using COM port, such as modem, mini-ATS, projector etc. Its easy to use interface guarantees an easy work with Com-port. Look RS232 can send data through COM port, receive data from an outer device through COM port, it has port indication as well. Look RS-232 supports connection at the standard speed of 110…115200 kbit/s, it supports commands of COM port program control. Look RS-232 supports data input in ASCII, BIN, HEX, OCT formats, keeps log of the sent and received data and commands in ASCII, BIN, HEX, OCT formats, it has an option of time link (relating to COM port activation). Look RS-232 works with system initiated COM ports regardless of whether they are installed on motherboard or on supplementary in/output boards, e.g. VS-Com (Roadrunner) PCI-800H 8-port PCI.

IPCOMServer
$9.95 - TIGME.COM
IPCOMServer is a cheap and easy solution to control RS-232 devices without the use of expensive router products like a Cisco® 2511 Terminal server. The IPCOMServer acts as a Telnet server, connecting the user directly to a chosen COM port. IPCOMServer can be connected to by either using a Telnet program or a custom written Telnet Client. A Telnet program will provide the user with a text interface to interrogate the attached RS-232 device. The reason why IPCOMServer was developed was to enable a user to control custom built electronic equipment, or to access remote control test equipment like, TTC Fireberd 4000® or Protocol Analyzers etc.
IPCOMServer acts as a virtual connection between a TCP/IP port or socket and a personal computers Serial/COM port. When a Telnet program or client connects to IPCOMServer, it will be connected directly to the serial port specified in the Setup of IPCOMServer. Strings of data or commands that are generated at the Client will be transported across the TCP/IP network to the Host. At the host the incoming commands are relayed to the serial port. The device attached to the host will react on the commands by sending replies back to the host, which are then relayed back the client. The replies can be used to display either text form or to update a graphical user interface (GUI). See the application notes for more information.
