AvisMap GIS Engine
$199 - AvisMap GIS Technologies
AvisMap GIS Engine is a comprehensive SDK for the development of custom GIS applications and solutions. This SDK provides several ActiveX® (OCX) controls which support Visual Basic, VB.NET, C#, Visual C++ and other ActiveX compatible programming languages, with Microsoft® Visual Studio versions 6, 2003, 2005, and Express. Supports .NET via COM. While the SDK is excellent for desktop GIS application development, it is also appropriate for the development of enterprise level, multi-user user GIS solutions using SQL database map layers. The SDK supports the storage and access of vector map and image data in three SQL database formats: a) the proprietary SDB file database b) SQL Server and c) Oracle and Oracle Spatial.
AvisMap GIS Engine is the basic development platform for AvisMap GIS suites, which is a new generation component GIS development platform for GIS application developers. AvisMap GIS Engine 5 provides powerful GIS functions through Active X controls based on Microsoft COM component technique. It allows users to rapidly develop professional GIS applications and increase GIS functions for classical management information system (MIS) by adding graphic visualization, spatial data processing, data analysis or other functions.

AvisMap Free Viewer
$0 - AvisMap GIS Technologies
The free AvisMap Viewer opens most GIS/CAD and raster image file types and most ArcView, ArcExplorer, and MapInfo projects. Besides just opening and viewing files, the Viewer supports an extensive list of features including visual layer properties control, legend control, thematic mapping, spatial and attribute querying, custom labeling, on-map measurements, hyper-linking, PDF export and much more.
Because the GIS Viewer is compiled from the AvisMap Map Engine, it provides an easy way to evaluate the AvisMap technology and support for various data formats and common GIS functionality. The free Viewer can be used to generate AvisMap project files that are compatible with any other AvisMap product or custom applications created from the AvisMap GIS Engine.
The AvisMap Desktop product extends the free Viewer by adding an extensive set of features for editing, digitizing, merging, exporting, converting (between formats), building/correcting map topology, etc. GIS shapefile map data.

SI Lookup
$0 - WinCatalog.com
If you have a domain name, you can use one of the numerous Whois tools to determine its owner. Whois provides complete information about the owner of any domain name, up to the level of mailing addresses and telephone numbers. But what if you don?t have a domain name? What if all you have is a mere IP address? Or what if you don?t need information about the domain name, but are much more interested in who owns the Web server where it?s hosted?
Quite often it is still possible to determine the owner, or, rather, the assignee, of an IP address. IP addresses in North America are assigned by ARIN, an independent, nonprofit corporation that provides IP registration. It is possible to unveil details about the organization that uses a particular IP address, or, to be precise, a block of IP addresses.
There are no tools that come with Windows which can look up information about an IP address. Instead, you can visit ARIN database, learn about its query syntax, and fire up search on an IP address. If the address does not belong to the North American block, you will quite often see only the basic information specifying the country and organization responsible for assigning IP addresses there. To discover owner information of your original IP address, you then will have to visit a whois server of that organization and repeat the whole process.
While there?s nothing wrong in doing all these queries, it takes an awful lot of time. We at Soft Institute wrapped the same thing into a convenient package. SI Lookup queries the right server right automatically, and returns clearly legible, well formatted output. It displays all the vital information and allows you to query more than one IP address by simply selecting it from a combo box. Thanks to its user-friendly, convenient user interface, SI Lookup is much more convenient to use than the online tools that Unix-age non-profit organizations provide on the Web.

MPSuperShape
$75 - Winwaed Software Technology LLC
MPSuperShape solves this problem. MPSuperShape can be used to combine multiple shapes into one large shape. It can also be used to find intersections (overlaps) between multiple shapes. Shapes can also be transferred into or out of MapPoint using MPSuperShape's GML import and export options.
Possible applications include:
* Combining drive-time areas to find the total area covered by existing depots.
* Finding territory overlaps.
* Finding areas which meet multiple characteristics.
* Transferring shapes to/from other GIS systems.
MPSuperShape provides the following benefits:
* Combine multiple shapes
* Find the intersection (overlap) between shapes
* Import shapes from external (non-MapPoint) files
* Export shapes to external (non-MapPoint) files
* Copy shapes between different MapPoint maps - reuse the same shapes on multiple maps!
The import and export options support GML. GML is an XML-based open GIS format that is managed by the Open Geospatial Consortium.
Requirements: MapPoint 2006 (or later), .NET Framework 2.0 (or later), and Windows XP or Vista required.
