WheelKeys

WheelKeys simulates keystrokes in specified programs, when you turn the mouse wheel.
Keys are sent when one of the specified program windows is selected. Original mouse wheel commands are discarded.

Key definition:
You can define the keystrokes in Wheels.txt. Look at the sample Wheels.txt. Thy syntax of Wheels.txt is:
Exename of the first program you want to send keystrokes to (Space)
up Keys (Space)
down keys (carriage return)
Exename of the second program
... and so on. Hint: Please use the exact syntax, usage errors are not handled.

Effect: Keys are sent when one of the specified program windows is selected. Original mouse wheel commands are discarded. A meaningful example is the volume control of the Media Player which is supplied in the second line of Wheels.txt.

Key codes:
Key codes are like for the VB sendkeys command (see README)

Exit: To quit the program, klick on the wheel which appears in the system tray when you have started WheelKeys.

Suggestion: If you think that WheelKeys is not very user friendly, or if it doesn't work, please buy Mouse Wheel Control by Ardamax Software. It is a wonderful program which has inspired me to make WheelKeys.

Installation:
Uzipping the zip file will create WheelKeys.exe, a sample Wheels.txt and the README file. There is no installation, double-klick WheelKeys.exe to start WheelKeys

This freeware software allows you to list all the opened windows (applications) on your Windows machine and to kill some of them by specifing their title.

Unlike other killing utilities it works also with hidden and system windows (for example trayed applications) and you can specify only a PART of the window caption.

For example, If you've opened three Windows named Notepad - first.txt, Notepad - second.txt and Notepad - third.txt, you can close all three in once by specifying only Notepad (or only one of them by specifying second.txt)

You can also export a list of all the opened windows into a text file, so that an external application can know in advance if a specific application is on execution, so it can decide whether to kill it or not (and which is the exact title to specify).

This is possible because @KILL can work also as a command line utility, by passing it some parameters, so it can be invoked by external applications and batch files.

File Encrypter

Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 Required to run this program. Please Install it from the microsoft's download site.

Encrypting: To encrypt a file, you have two options. Either you can use a password or a password_file. After selecting the option, press the Encrypt button to encrypt the file. The encrypted file is stored in the same directory, with .ENCRYPTED appended to the filename. For example, a file TEST.TXT will be renamed TEST.TXT.ENCRYPTED

NOTE: The program generates a Hash from the given password or password_file, and then, uses it to encrypt the given file. There are no limits on the password length (32768 digits) , or the password_file. The password_file can be any file present on your computer. As an one way Hash is generated, if you forget the password or lose the password_file it is impossible to recover the original file. So, you must NOT forget the password or delete/lose the password_file, or you will not be able to decrypt the encrypted file.

Decrypting: To decrypt a file you must enter/select the same password/password_file used to encrypt te file and then press the Decrypt Button. The decrypted file is stored in the same directory, with .DECRYPTED appended to its name. For example, a file TEST.TXT will be renamed TEST.DECRYPTED.TXT.

Important: Do not lose the password or password_file used to encrypt.

This program requires .NET Framework to be installed on your computer. Dot Net Framework can be downloaded from the microsoft's download site; .NET Framework 3.0 is preferred. But, this program works with the lower versions also.

NameGenerator

Create random names for your RPG (available in English or German). Name database can be edited to fit your needs and rules follow certain semantic rules. You can create different rules for cultures and types within these cultures (male, female, city). The names you created can be copied into other programs or simply be saved to a text file. Namegenerator creates random names based upon certain specifications, that are included in three text files. These files can easiely be changed with any text editor (e.g. Notepad) to fit your needs. The three text files can easiely be extracted from the JAR-file with WinRAR. ****init.txt**** This file is read at the start of the application and specifies the two other files. You can switch between init files while running the progam by selecting Files->Init file... ****languages.txt**** Includes the language data. A group is specified with braces ([]). All lines after such a group are included in the group. Coment lines start with ##, and empty lines are ignored. ****semantics.txt**** This file contains semantic rules of different cultures. Specifics can be found in the file. Coment and empty lines are handles like "languages.txt". ****Contact and where to send contributions**** Download at . If you create you own language files, I am happy to include your contribution. Just send a mail (max@beimax.de). There is a good chance, that good contributions will be included into the official version. Have fun with this little program!
