Oscillations (a.k.a. Visual Oscillations) is a Virtual Laboratory of Waves, Oscillations, Harmonic Motion and related themes. An Intuitively Easy-To-Use collection of -at least- 21 interactive simulation modules that allow the user to simulate and visualize experiments.

A Virtual Lab mainly a t the University level, however, High Schools with ambitious programs and Colleges may find Oscillations very useful for their courses. Oscillations may be used (1) during classes, to support the teacher's explanation, making classes more interesting, (2) in the library by students, to review the topics covered in classes (3) at home by students to run experiments with the student's data, even extreme experiments, which result in a better grasping of topics. In a conventional (traditional) Physics laboratory it is impossible to execute experiments with extreme parameters, for instance it is impossible to shot a gun, because it is dangerous, it is impossible to make changes in the acceleration of gravity, it is not possible to carry out experiments in "Slow Motion" or to settle a "time freezing". This software overcomes all these drawbacks.

The names of the X and Y axes may be changed at will, either selecting them from an included table or placing them through the keyboard.

An Intuitively-Easy-To-Use visual interactive software, oriented to overcome the abstraction that exists in the Plane Analytic Geometry (PAG), this is a tool that makes it easy to learn and master the PAG, the user is allowed to literally "see" the mathematics while carrying out operations and problems by hundreds in a very short time with the help of the mouse.

One thing is to study and try to solve problems on Plane Analytic Geometry with a book (and if you can afford it, with a private teacher), definitively the number of solved problems is limited and the grasping of the subject is not always total. Curvilinear processes the (x,y) coordinates entered by the user by either of two methods: mouse or keyboard.

When entering data under the Keyboard option, the selection of objects (point, line, circle, etc) is made with a mouse click on the object icon, then a small window shows up where the user enters the (x,y) coordinates via keyboard. This data input mode is oriented to the solution of specific problems

The data input under the Mouse option is very quick provided there is no need of accurate data input, otherwise it is very slow because it requires a very high steadiness of the hand (a firm pulse) to control mouse motion.

The Mouse input mode is ideal while learning PAG, when a great deal of practice is needed, and the student needs to become acquainted with the Mathematics and meaning of the PAG.
